Welcome to Lucy Clarke
Restoring
balance and health
My acupuncture books are currently closed to new patients. If you are an existing or returning client, please do get in touch and I’ll let you know what’s available.
I’m Lucy, and I work with men and women to get to the bottom of what’s affecting their health – and do something meaningful about it.
I manage my caseload carefully to ensure every client receives the depth of attention and in-depth support their case deserves. This matters especially when health concerns are complex or have been going on for a long time.
I offer nutritional therapy and functional testing through focused three or six -month programmes. It’s thorough, personalised support – the kind that takes the time to understand what’s really going on.
If you’d like to find out whether we’re a good fit, I offer a free mini consultation. No obligation – just a chance to talk.

Testimonials from clients

As a very keen walker I started to suffer bad foot pain which stopped me walking almost completely. I saw my GP & NHS physio then a private sports physio and also a private podiatrist. I also tried orthotics in my shoes - nothing worked for 3 months. I was getting very frustrated. I went to see Lucy and the results have amazed me. I had 4 weekly sessions of acupuncture and am 100% back to normal - the pain has... read more gone. Lucy has a very professional and caring approach - she takes time to really understand the problem and treat it accordingly in a holistic way. The needles are not painful, I actually grew to like the sensation and Lucy always ensures you are comfortable at all times. I am a believer in holistic therapies but the results with Lucy amazed me - I would recommend 100%. Thanks Lucy! *Update* 9 months later: After a serious and worrying diagnosis I went to lucy for nutritional advice. She was able to guide me through extensive testing and really helped me understand what was happening in my body. Lucy is very knowledgeable & well qualified, with a friendly and empathetic approach which explained the science in an easy to understand way. She offered practical advice and I feel motivated and positive going forward. My health has really improved and I feel so much more in control and now understand how my diet and lifestyle influence everything to do with wellbeing. Thanks again Lucy!!

Can’t recommend acupuncture Lucy highly enough for anything to do with women’s health and fertility. She has a huge amount of knowledge and always goes above and beyond to help make me aware of all options available to me. She took the time to get to know me and was never judgemental. I have no doubt that the success of my IVF treatment was helped by Lucy’s preparation and support of my body through acupuncture both before and during treatment.
Sylvia VandenbusscheI got to know Lucy as an enthusiastic and very knowledgeable practitioner of acupuncture. She is always happy to share her wisdom and answer more in depth questions about chinese medicine. Personally I feel acupuncture helps to keep as good as possible during long term medical treatment, it helps alleviate chronic pain and brings relaxation. I can definitely recommend her.

Lucy is an incredible asset to the fertility and pregnancy world. Her knowledge of women's health is incredibly in depth and she constantly strives to improve her services and meet my needs. She supported me when I was trying to conceive and then when I was pregnant. She has since supported my son with his health. The impact on my wellbeing from Lucy was immense and I wouldn't think twice about seeking her help again the future.
Fern DouglasLove Lucy! She’s amazing at what she does and is super knowledgeable about everything woman’s health! Left every treatment feeling so relaxed. The difference acupuncture has made to my symptoms is amazing and after being to the doctors countless times without getting any further forward I am honestly soooo happy I found Lucy! Could not recommend her more 🩷
Jody DobsonI began seeing Lucy about 8 months after having surgery, which confirmed I had grade 4 endometriosis. The surgery unfortunately offered little relief from symptoms, and I continued living with chronic pain and fertility struggles. Other than further surgery or hormone therapy (not great whilst TTC!) I felt I had exhausted all my options. I began research into natural strategies to manage my condition, but found it hugely overwhelming and seemingly unachievable. I turned to Lucy to begin with acupuncture, however... read more her knowledge in female health and endo far exceeded my expectations, and her guidance and support has proven invaluable. Combining both acupuncture with nutritional therapy, which has been informed by functional testing, I have felt a vast improvement in my physical symptoms - significantly less pain and regular, more manageable menstrual cycles. I know I still have some way to go, but Lucy provides actionable next steps, which helps me feel in control, and I intend to continue working with her for a happier, healthier me, hopefully into pregnancy and beyond!

I started experiencing siatic pain, so I did a google search for acupuncturists near me. Painkillers were not helping. Lucy was one of many accounts that came up, and as fate would have it, I called for a consultation. She responded very quickly, and before i knew it, i was able to book and attend my first ever acupuncture appointment back in February 2022. I was expecting a painful experience with needles everywhere, but thought it couldn't be worse than the pain... read more I was already having. I was pleasantly surprised. Lucy was so professional, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about her work. She was also able to recommend things that i could do in addition to acupuncture treatments to aid my healing. My siatic pain was completely gone after a couple of treatments. I kept booking appointments with Lucy to treat female hormonal issues and I have seen great improvements. I can confidently say that I would absolutely recommend Lucy for anyone who isn't sure about acupuncture. You will not regret it.
Jacqui MacVicarLucy’s instantly put me at ease for my first treatment. Her attention to detail is second-to-none and her knowledge, incredible. I am indebted to her for her expertise and care during our block of treatment.
Julia EntwistleLucy shows compassion and professionalism listening carefully to ‘you’ the patient. Lucy endeavours to offer the very best treatment she can. The clinic is clean, bright and well appointed, with parking. I have found the sessions to be very beneficial, I do not find it painful but it is a little strange. I always feel some benefit from a session and would recommend to commit to several sessions with an open mind.

Lucy is an incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and capable acupuncturist! Lucy exudes professionalism, but also has a kind, caring and respectful manner. Putting anyone who is new to acupuncture at ease. The clinic is warm, comfortable and relaxing. Throughout the treatment, Lucy’s knowledge, kindness and capability can be witnessed and the benefits afterwards are transformational! Any ailment I would recommend a visit to Lucy! Her insight and knowledge as well as her practical skill are an asset to Inverness (and the Highlands)!
Claire EllisI visited Lucy for the first time a month ago when I put my back out at work. Truthfully I was a little sceptical of the benefits of acupuncture, and a fear of needles didn't help, but after hearing and reading how it can help with back pain I decided I had nothing to lose. I heard about her through word of mouth. A colleague had a friend who had visited and had good results. On the first visit Lucy spent a... read more good half hour on a consultation to find out all about my history, she really took her time and she made me feel relaxed, she is a very warm individual and really makes you feel at ease. After the consultation the treatment began and lasted about an hour. She used a mixture of therapies including Chinese cupping and acupuncture. Aware of my fear of needles she positioned me face down on her treatment table so I didn't need to see what was going on! For an hour and a half initial appointment her rates are very reasonable. subsequent appointments last around an hour and are cheaper than the initial. Prior to the first treatment each morning I would wake up and do 30 mins of stretches and gentle exercises followed by 10 mins of heat and ice packs and ibuprofen just so I could get through the day. However, the next morning after treatment I felt a vast improvement, I still did the stretches, but felt no need for painkillers or the heat and ice packs. I would say my pain in the morning went from and 8 out of ten to a three. I really couldn't believe the difference. I didn't use the painkillers or the heat and ice packs again. I had weekly follow up appointments for two weeks, and then Lucy suggested I move to either a fortnightly or monthly gap for the next treatment and then assess whether I feel more appointments are necessary. Lucy is determined to get rid of pain as quickly as possible in the shortest time frame, she definitely isn't trying to drag out treatment when it is not necessary. I would whole heartily recommend making an appointment with Lucy if you are considering acupuncture. She has a lot of experience and years of study in the practice, and continues to attend workshops to stay at the top of her game.
Erin MaclennanI'd highly recommend Lucy to anyone thinking about getting acupuncture. In addition to being excellent at her job, she put me at ease as soon as I arrived, ensuring I was comfortable throughout each treatment. Initially I didn't know what to expect and Lucy was very patient while answering my (many, many) questions. She certainly knows what she's doing , clearly enjoys her job and wants to help her patients as much as she possibly can. The treatments certainly helped me and... read more I won't hesitate to go back in the future.
