About me
Who do I help?
Most of the people who find me have already tried other routes. They’ve had blood tests, been told everything looks fine, and are still not right. They’ve been dismissed, or handed a leaflet, or told it’s probably stress. And they’re exhausted – not just physically, but from having to keep advocating for themselves.
That story resonates with me personally. I’ve been that person. And it’s the reason I do this work.
I work with men and women – and couples – dealing with a wide range of health concerns: female and male hormonal health, fertility, fatigue, gut issues, autoimmune conditions, and symptoms that don’t yet have a neat diagnosis. As a nutritional therapist and acupuncturist based in Inverness, I offer both in-person and online support. If something’s not right and you want to understand why, you’re in the right place.
My Mission
I’ve been in clinical practice since 2008. Over those 18 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of men and women who came to me feeling stuck – stuck in a cycle of symptoms, confusion, and not being heard. Through nutritional therapy, nutrigenomics, and acupuncture, my job is to help them find a way through.
What drives me is straightforward: your symptoms have a cause. Finding it – and addressing it properly – changes everything. Whether that’s hormonal balance, fertility, gut health, energy, or something harder to pin down, I’m here to help you make sense of it and do something about it.
What makes me different?
Most practitioners work from symptoms outward. I work from cause inward. That distinction matters, because it’s the difference between managing how you feel and actually changing it.
I use nutritional therapy and nutrigenomic analysis – including Lifecode Gx genetic reporting – to understand how your body is working at a level that a standard GP appointment simply can’t reach. Alongside that, I use functional medicine testing: hormone panels, blood panels, gut microbiome analysis, and more – chosen specifically for what your picture suggests, not run as a blanket screen.
I also practise acupuncture as a separate clinical stream. For many people – particularly those dealing with hormonal conditions, fertility challenges, or chronic pain – it makes a significant difference, and some clients choose to work with me across both disciplines over time.
Every client I work with gets my full attention. I read your results carefully, think about your case between sessions, follow the evidence, and follow up. What you get is thorough, genuinely personalised care – not a template with your name on it.

My Journey back to Health
For years, I lived with unexplained symptoms. I was told repeatedly that nothing was wrong – that it was probably just stress, or in my head. But I knew something wasn’t right.
Eventually, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. That moment was the start of a different kind of journey. Health became a driving force. I began learning everything I could about how to support my own body – through diet, lifestyle, and the right treatments alongside medical care. Slowly, things began to change.
That experience is what brought me here. I know what it feels like to not be believed. To be fobbed off. To keep searching for answers. And I know how much difference it makes when someone actually helps you find them. That’s what I want to do for you.
The People I Help
I work with men and women from all walks of life, and with a wide range of health concerns. Fertility nutrition and female health have been at the heart of my practice for many years, and they still are – I work with women navigating hormonal changes at every life stage, and with couples trying to conceive, with or without medical assistance.
But over time, my practice has broadened. Men started coming to me too – with fatigue, hormonal issues, digestive problems, cardiovascular risk, and a general sense that something was off but no-one could tell them what. People with autoimmune conditions. People post-diagnosis, wanting to support their medical treatment with nutrition. People who’d simply had enough of feeling worse than they should.
What they all share is this: they’re not looking for a generic plan. They want someone to actually look at their case – properly – and help them make sense of it. That’s exactly what I do.
How I Work
I use a combination of functional testing, personalised nutrition, and lifestyle strategies to get to the root of what’s going on. It’s not about quick fixes or strict rules – it’s about making sense of your health and building a plan that fits your life.
I was completely fascinated when I first came across nutrigenomics while studying nutrition. The idea that diet and lifestyle could influence how our genes are expressed – and that our genetic traits could, in turn, shape what we need to eat and how we live – instantly resonated with me. Within a month, I’d tested myself and my whole household.
Understanding my genetic traits gave me the clarity and answers I’d been looking for – insight into how best to support my health, both now and for the future. That curiosity quickly became a deeper passion, and I went on to train further in the field with different providers, eventually becoming a BANT-registered Nutrigenetic Counsellor.
In clinic, nutrigenomics is a core part of how I support clients. I use a range of Lifecode Gx nutrigenomic panels to identify which genetic traits are likely influencing a client’s health, then cross-reference those with functional testing results to understand which traits are actually being expressed. Because that’s the critical distinction: genes may load the gun, but it’s your environment and choices that pull the trigger. That’s why I combine nutrigenomics with functional testing – to explore which traits are influencing your health right now. It’s a powerful way to connect the dots between your genetics and how you feel.
Let me Help You
I’m not here to hand out rigid plans or tell you what to do – I’m here to listen, understand what’s going on for you, and help you find the right support for your health. What matters most to me is helping you feel better, understand your body, and take back a sense of control.
Outside of clinic life, I love spending time with my husband, son, and our Fox Red Lab Bonzo. I enjoy being in nature, cooking meals that feel good to eat, and enjoying a slow weekend. I swim regularly and am always curious – whether it’s about food, health, or life in general.
For me, health isn’t just about symptoms – it’s about resilience, balance, and having the right tools to navigate life. That belief shapes everything I do in my practice, and it’s what keeps me grounded – both professionally and personally.
