Nutritional Therapy & Functional Testing for cardio-metabolic, hormone, prostate, intimate and gut health.

Healthy man cycling outdoors, representing performance, vitality and personalised health optimisation for men.

You're in the right place if…

Men don’t always find it easy to ask for help with their health. But if you’ve noticed something’s not right — or you just want to know where you stand — that instinct is worth acting on.

This is a space where you can be straight with me, and I’ll be straight with you. No judgment, no assumptions. Just a proper look at what’s going on.

You might be dealing with:

  • Fatigue, low energy or motivation that won’t shift
  • Cardiovascular concerns — high cholesterol, blood pressure, family history of heart disease or stroke
  • Weight that’s crept up and won’t come off, or metabolic changes you’ve noticed
  • Hormone changes — low testosterone, mood shifts, loss of drive or muscle
  • Sexual health concerns — erectile dysfunction, libido changes, fertility
  • Prostate health — PSA concerns, urinary symptoms, or early-stage findings
  • Gut symptoms — bloating, IBS, pain, irregular bowel habits
  • Poor diet, reliance on convenience food, or just never having paid attention to nutrition
  • Stress, poor sleep, or feeling like you’re running on empty

Whatever brings you here — you don’t need to have it all figured out. That’s what I’m here for.

A man in jeans and a t-shirt sits on a sofa, viewed from behind, holding an iPad that displays a graph titled “Cortisol spike & low blood sugar.” The graph shows a cortisol spike at 3am and a blood sugar dip at 4am. The room is softly lit with natural morning light, evoking the quiet reality of disrupted sleep and early fatigue.

Although I initially sought support through acupuncture sessions, what I valued most was the time, care and expertise Lucy brought to every appointment. She listens attentively, takes concerns seriously, and provides thoughtful advice that extends beyond simply treating symptoms. I found her knowledge around men's health, nutrition and overall wellbeing to be incredibly insightful and helpful.

What stood out to me most was her honesty. She genuinely prioritises her patients' wellbeing and was transparent when she felt further treatment was unlikely to be beneficial.

She is warm, compassionate and easy to talk to, creating an environment where you feel heard and supported without judgement. I would highly recommend Lucy to any man looking for a patient-centred practitioner.

How I work

I’m a registered Nutritional Therapist with advanced training in nutrigenomics — the science of how your genes influence the way your body processes food, nutrients, hormones and metabolic function.

I work with men who want answers, not guesswork. Whether you’ve had blood results that concerned you, a diagnosis you want to get on top of, or you simply know something’s off — I use functional testing and personalised nutrition to build a clear picture of your health and give you a plan that’s specific to you.

This isn’t generic advice. It’s built around your biology, your history, your results and your goals.

What we can look at together

  • Cardiovascular and metabolic health — cholesterol, blood pressure, insulin resistance, T2D risk
  • Hormonal health — testosterone, thyroid, cortisol, adrenal function
  • Sexual and urogenital health — erectile function, sperm health, prostate markers, urinary health
  • Gut health — microbiome balance, dysbiosis, inflammation, post-surgical gut support
  • Fertility — sperm quality, hormonal environment, nutrigenomic factors
  • Weight, body composition and metabolic rate
  • Stress, HPA axis function and sleep quality
  • Nutrient status and dietary gaps

A note on male fertility

Male fertility is rarely just about sperm. Sperm count, motility, morphology and DNA fragmentation are all shaped by the same factors that drive cardiovascular health, hormonal balance, oxidative stress and nutrient status — the same things we look at across all men’s health work.

Improving your overall health automatically creates a better environment for sperm production and quality. If fertility is part of your picture — whether you’re actively trying to conceive, preparing for IVF or ICSI, or simply want to know where things stand — it can be tested and addressed directly as part of your programme.

Medications are also a significant and frequently overlooked factor in male fertility. A number of commonly prescribed drugs — including certain antihypertensives, antidepressants, and medications used for hair loss or prostate conditions — can have a direct impact on sperm health and hormone levels. This is something I review as a matter of course.

The Process

Free Mini Consultation

A 15-minute call to understand where you are and whether we’re a good fit.

Deep Dive Assessment

We look at your health history, symptoms, diet, lifestyle and goals.

Testing

Targeted blood panels and functional tests — chosen around what we need to find out.

Your Plan

A personalised nutrition and supplement protocol, with ongoing support and review.

Testing — finding out what's actually going on

Not every man needs the same tests. I build panels around what your history, symptoms and goals point to. Testing might include:

Blood panels

  • Full blood count, liver and kidney function, inflammation markers
  • Advanced cardiovascular markers — LDL particle size, Apo A+B, Lipoprotein(a), homocysteine
  • Comprehensive metabolic markers — fasting glucose, HbA1c, insulin, HOMA-IR
  • Hormonal panel — testosterone (total and free), SHBG, LH, FSH, prolactin, thyroid function
  • PSA (prostate-specific antigen) and related markers
  • Nutrient status — Vitamin D, B12, folate, ferritin, zinc, magnesium and others

Functional testing

  • DUTCH hormone panel — in-depth adrenal and sex hormone assessment including metabolites
  • Gut microbiome analysis — dysbiosis, diversity, pathogens, short-chain fatty acids
  • Organic acid testing — mitochondrial function, neurotransmitter markers, nutritional gaps
  • Nutrigenomics (DNA) — how your genes influence cardiovascular risk, hormone metabolism, methylation, detoxification and nutrient processing

I work with Medichecks, Inuvi Labs and Nationwide Pathology Labs to build custom blood panels, and with Lifecode Gx and Regenerus for nutrigenomic testing — selecting the most appropriate lab and panel for what we need to find out.

Case Studies

Names have been changed to protect client confidentiality.

Presenting concern

Shaun came to me following a routine GP blood test showing elevated cholesterol and borderline blood pressure. He had a family history of heart disease and had been told to ‘watch his diet’, without much further guidance. He wanted to understand his actual risk and what he could do about it.

Testing

Advanced cardiovascular blood panel (LDL particle size, Apo A+B, Lipoprotein(a), homocysteine), fasting insulin and HbA1c, Vitamin D and B12, plus Lifecode Gx nutrigenomics.

Outcome

Shaun’s blood results showed several lipid markers out of range, particularly elevated ApoB, alongside subclinical Vitamin D deficiency. Advanced nutrigenomics testing identified compromised biochemical pathways involved in cholesterol, bile and fat metabolism. Based on these results, we built a targeted nutrition plan incorporating specific dietary changes and key supplements, including Vitamin D and plant sterols.

Investment

1:1 Nutrition Programme — £800 | Advanced cardiovascular blood panel — £540 | Nutrigenomics — £750

Presenting concern

Paul came to me feeling embarrassed and unsure where to turn. He’d noticed a gradual decline in sexual function and energy over the past two years, and hadn’t spoken to his GP about it. He wanted to understand whether this was hormonal, vascular, or something else entirely.

Testing

Full hormonal panel (testosterone, SHBG, LH, FSH, prolactin, thyroid), advanced cardiovascular markers, Vitamin D, zinc and magnesium, DUTCH hormone panel for in-depth metabolite assessment.

Outcome

Paul’s results showed low testosterone linked to high stress levels, alongside very low folate – both of which can contribute to erectile dysfunction. We worked together on dietary changes and relaxation strategies to support his hormonal balance, and he also completed a block of acupuncture to help regulate his nervous system.

Investment

Precision Nutrition Programme — £1,800 | DUTCH hormone panel — £470 | Blood panel — £250

Presenting concern

Lewis had been referred back to his GP following a borderline PSA result and was waiting for a follow-up appointment. He wasn’t willing to simply wait and see — he wanted to understand what dietary and lifestyle factors might be relevant, and whether there was anything he could do proactively.

Testing

PSA and related markers, full hormonal panel, inflammatory markers (CRP, ESR), Vitamin D, zinc, nutrigenomic testing relevant to hormone metabolism and inflammation pathways.

Outcome

Lewis’s results showed raised inflammatory markers and several nutrient deficiencies. Antioxidants couldn’t be introduced straight away, as they risked fuelling inflammatory pathways at that stage. Instead, we began by supporting mitochondrial function and lowering systemic inflammation, before addressing his nutrient deficiencies. All work was carried out alongside his GP care, complementing his ongoing monitoring.

Investment

Precision Nutrition Programme — £1,800 | Blood panel — £300 Nutrigenomics — £500

Presenting concern

Charles and his partner had been trying to conceive for over a year. Semen analysis had shown reduced motility and morphology. He hadn’t considered that nutrition and nutrigenomics might play a role, and came to me wanting to optimise whatever he could on his side.

Testing

Full hormonal panel (testosterone, FSH, LH, prolactin), nutrient status including zinc, selenium, CoQ10-related markers, folate and B12, plus Lifecode Gx nutrigenomics assessing methylation and metabolic pathways relevant to sperm quality.

Outcome

Charles’s nutrient biomarkers revealed deficiencies that were explained by his nutrigenomic results. We supported the relevant biochemical pathways with targeted nutrients and co-factors, including zinc, methyl-folate, B12, B6, B2 and B3. He was also started on a higher-specification male pre-pregnancy multivitamin, alongside additional Omega 3 and CoQ10.

Investment

1:1 Nutrition Programme — £800 | Blood panel — £300 | Nutrigenomics — £500

Presenting concern

Keith came to me following bowel surgery for a genetic condition, now living with a stricture and polyps. He was struggling with ongoing gut symptoms including bloating, unpredictable bowel habits and fatigue, and had received little nutritional guidance following his surgery.

Testing

Comprehensive gut microbiome analysis, organic acid testing, full blood count and inflammatory markers, nutrient status including B12, iron, Vitamin D and magnesium, with particular attention to absorption and deficiency risk following surgery.

Outcome

Keith experienced less abdominal discomfort, reduced bloating and more regular bowel movements. He regained confidence to eat a wider range of foods, and we built base meals he and his partner could both enjoy – with room for her to add additional ingredients for variety.

Investment

Precision Nutrition Programme — £1,800 | Gut microbiome analysis — £470 | Organic acid testing — £270 | Blood panel — £225
